Additionally, the rows of ginkgo trees in autumn are popular as one of Tokyo's leading spots for autumn leaves.
The perfect place for lovers of flowers; it is very colorful and beautifully arranged throughout the park. During the peak seasons there are a lot of cosplayers and people doing photography sessions to these magnificent backdrops.
Symbol Tree
The symbol tree, the great Zelkova tree, stands at a height of over 20 meters and is over 100 years old. In the spacious area, you can spread out a blanket and enjoy picnics or take a nap, allowing yourself to relax. On sunny days, you can also enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Fuji from the open field.

“Kodomo no Mori” features playground equipment such as a massive trampoline (Sea of Cloud) and rainbow hammocks and many more.

Boating
You can enjoy boating while observing birds and fish in the pond, which is rich in nature.
Though couples or friends are the most common sight on these boats, solo rides can be just as enjoyable. Getting the hang of it might be a bit tricky at first, but once you do, it feels like embarking on a mini adventure!

The largest Japanese Garden in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area
The Japanese garden in the Showa Kinen Park spans approximately 6 hectares. Despite its vastness, it has a serene atmosphere, allowing visitors to feel the essence of "wabi-sabi" throughout. Within the garden, there are opportunities to partake in traditional Japanese cultural activities such as tea ceremonies, haiku poetry, and recitation of classical Japanese poetry. Visitors can also enjoy a break with matcha tea and sweets for 700 yen. In autumn, a stunning illumination event takes place, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of the garden at night. The buildings, including the wooden bridges, are reflected like mirrors on the water's surface during this event.

The First National Bonsai Garden in Japan
The bonsai garden showcases 61 pots of historically significant and traditional bonsai masterpieces, with exhibitions tailored to each season.
Various bonsai, including species you've never seen before, are lined up, allowing you to witness a beautiful collaboration of nature and craftsmanship that will surely impress you!
OKA CAFE
The “Okacafe” features a warm wooden architecture, creating a cozy atmosphere. Inside the cafe, lighting shades made from coffee bean sacks creates a stylish atmosphere, providing a relaxed environment to enjoy leisurely moments.
Not only the exterior and interior design, but also the cuisine, including seasonal dishes and delicious pastries, leaves you very satisfied.

The Showa KInen Park, Where You Can Always Refresh Whenever You Visit
By the end of your visit, you will feel a sense of satisfaction and fatigue, but it will be a very worthwhile time. Watching the sunset while heading home is also a wonderful way to end the day. Additionally, outside the gates in the open area, there are occasionally events such as markets and festivals, so be sure to check before going.
